Initiative against Violence in the Media

The Initiative against Violence in the Media was founded by a group of students in Austria in 2020.

We´d like to raise the attention for this important topic, although it is not quite clear in which ways we can do that. Our focus is the relation between peaceful societies and violence in the media, which is more a focus on ethics and social philosophy.

Please visit (and LIKE) our Facebook Page to be informed about our news and progress, watch our promotion Video on Youtube (and LIKE it, if you want)

Please join the discussion by using the hashtag #violenceinthemedia (on Facebook, Twitter ...).

Please come back to this website soon.

International Day against Violence in the Media

The 2nd of October is already the International Day of Non-Violence. We´d like to draw the attention also to the important topic of violence in the Media by making it also the "International Day against Violence in the Media" and have created an Event on Facebook .

Hashtag #Reinszenierung

What does the Hashtag #Reinszenierung mean? It is the re-production of the violence many American children experience (due to the missing ratification of the UN Rights of the child) in US movies and in US TV Series.

It is explained in the brochure of Projektteam IGGIM (in German language), that is also available on Google Play and AMAZON.
